‘The New GDPR Regulations - will your Company be Compliant this May?’ – is a special networking breakfast at 9am on Thursday, 8th March 2018, at University Centre Shrewsbury, sponsored by Chamber member PC Net Solutions. Featuring presentations from Brian Evans of Lanyon Bowdler, and Neil Hambley of CID Marketing, this additional networking event is designed to arm attendees with the valuable, practical, hands-on knowledge and resources required to prepare for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) before they come into effect towards the end of May this year.

Networking events

Our monthly networking events have been held at a number of venues including Berrys, Origins Restaurant, Shrewsbury Town FC, Shrewsbury Flower Show, Salop Design, Sabrina Boat, Shrewsbury Museum, Shrewsbury Prison and Salop Leisure's Love Plants/Love2stay facilities near Emstrey Island, all very well attended. Executive committee meeting February 2017

The last meeting of the Executive Committee was held at Salop Leisure on Tuesday, 20th February 2018. Among the items on the agenda discussed, as well as the usual subsidiary committee meetings & reports, were updates on the LEP, Shrewsbury Bid and the Shropshire Business Board; the continuing progress of University Centre Shrewsbury; the Shrewsbury Integrated Transport Package; stories for the Chamber Magazine with further advertisers coming forward; and upcoming Chamber networking meetings for the upcoming year. Local business trends and current issues were also discussed.
